Save On Air Conditioning With Energy Star!

by April

By now most of you have heard of Energy Star.  For those who haven’t – Energy Star is a joint program between the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.  They have approved a number of household products (from building products and appliances to plumbing and computers) to meet specific energy guidelines to help save consumers money while saving the earth from greenhouse gas emissions.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, if just one in every ten households installed an Energy Star heating/air conditioning system, it would keep 17 billion pounds of pollution out of the air.  And it saves you money – an Energy Star air conditioner can save you up to 60% on your cooling bill and you may qualify for a tax credit (always my favorite).  If you are wondering when that AC should be replaced, check out the tips in my blog When To Replace The Air Conditioner or:

Stay cool!
