Tips On Finding a New Home Near Your Kid's New School

by racheal

Once you have kids, your decisions are all based on their comfort and convenience. Especially when it concerns their education and future you take extra precaution and see to it that they are happy and satisfied. This includes even when buying a new home. You may want a property to be near your kid’s school and sometimes you even make that the determining factor on where you want to buy a new home. There is a close connection between kids’ school and real estate property. After all you want the BEST for your kids and when it comes to their schooling you don’t wish to compromise. Whether it is a public school or private you want the BEST.

To help find new homes for sale by a good school, the best suggestion is choose a good school first before you hunt for a new home. Once your school is selected then you can zero in on the local new communities for sale near your school of choice. This way you can avoid looking at other areas.  If you can find a realtor who has knowledge about schools, then it’ll be easy for you to strike a deal with your new home of choice. Everything is available online and you can check out the schools on their own website to find out the details and even some new home communities wed sites have a list on schools located near them.

It’s also a good idea to go to the schools and take a guided tour before deciding on one for your kids. You can also request to take your kid along and let him/her get a feel of the place. Also find out what sport and leisure activities are available at the school. Once you have all the information, then decide on a location near the school to buy a new home.

The New And Improved Kansas City

by racheal

More than $9 billion in major improvements are under way across Kansas City. With $4.5 billion in downtown development that includes the new downtown entertainment and nightlife district. From historic restorations to dramatic renovations. The Convention Center has dramatically changed the downtown skyline and is now home to the 10th largest convention center ballrooms in the country and The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

The eight-block Kansas City Power & Light District has helped turn downtown into a 24-hour-a-day entertainment destination. Kansas City is a night owl’s paradise. During the 1930s, the constellation of signs outside Kansas City’s hundred-plus after-hours joints lit the sky. Now Kansas City shines again, and the path of discovery starts in the sparkling new downtown. One night in Kansas City is hardly enough time to indulge in it’s countless of highlights.

For the traditionalists, Kansas City offers two first class museums. The new National WWI Museum at Liberty Memorial is a one-of-a-kind museum experience. The nationally acclaimed Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is also located in Kansas City. Internationally recognized for its outstanding collection of more than 33,500 objects that offers visitors the opportunity to explore civilization through the eyes of painters, sculptors, craftsmen, and many other artists. From ancient times to modern day, this encyclopedic museum is one of the best in the country. The best part is Nelson-Atkins is FREE to all visitors, everyday!

Kansas City is also a welcome mat to family fun offering numerous thrilling water parks. Last month was the grand opening of The Schlitterbahn Vacation Village Waterpark. The 24 acres and two million gallons of water, Schlitterbahn brings such fun as the Torrent River, a tidal wave of sorts through a canyon 20-feet wide and 10-feet deep. After washing ashore, don’t bother getting out of the water, just float through tube shoots to the Storm Blaster Uphill Water Coaster to find more splashing good times. Life jackets, inner tubes and parking are always free!

There is always The City of Fountains which has always been a great place to splash around in the summer. With 200-plus fountains tempting you on a hot day, the fountain at Crown Center with nearly 100 water jets and shooters spout up to 60 feet in the air in a whimsical, synchronized show that makes summer in Kansas City very cool.

And what is a newly renovated city without the shopping? Briarcliff Village is the newest place in the metro to shop, enjoy a spa and eat. This charming, Tuscan-inspired setting offers a wide array of shops and restaurants. After a day of shopping you may need to recoup at the Spa Tuscano, a destination you may decide to stay at all day. “You walk through those doors and you are transported,” said Judy Klemm, a frequent visitor. “Their goal was making me comfortable and happy. All my worries were forgotten.”  Make sure and try Spa Tuscano’s massages, wraps, scrubs and facials.

After all that pampering, perk up a little at LatteLand and a chocolate croissant at Napoleon Bakery. Browse through Nell Hill’s for European antiques, or Kitchen Thyme for gourmet foods and stylish cookware. End the day with a delightful meal at Piropo’s for an Argentinean-inspired dish, or try Trezo Mare for fresh seafood.

For the more adventurous types, Kansas City offers an abundant of outdoor activities. Enjoy The Berry Patch, where you pick your own blueberries and blackberries. Take a drive to Atchison, and wander through the Amelia Earhart Museum and share a picnic lunch on the bluff overlooking the river. Or head over to Pendleton’s Country Market to pick a brilliant bouquet of flowers.

Just minutes from downtown Kansas City, is Adams Pointe Golf Club. The 18-hole Championship golf facility is set in the rolling hills of Blue Springs. Designed by noted local architect, Don Sechrest, Adams Pointe is very highly regarded in its layout and superior conditions by the Kansas City golf community. The course has a challenging front nine that is skillfully carved out of wetlands and forest. The scenic back nine offers links-style golf with dramatic changes in elevation. Adams Pointe is definitely the talk of the town, and regarded as a "premier places to play" in all of Kansas City golf.

With the new improvements at Kansas City, it’s no wonder why so many people are investing in Kansas City real estate. With new condos in downtown and family friendly new neighborhoods for sale just outside of town. More than 15 new communities alone have been recently built on the outskirts of downtown. If city life, a “splash” of fun, and outdoor adventures sounds like a place you would like to call home, make sure to check into the NEW Kansas City real estate opportunity.
