December Real Estate Market Update: Bedford- Great start to 2019 here in Bedford, Texas!

Home sales and values in Bedford continue to be on an uptick. The median home value is up to $239,000 which is up .25% in the last month, 4.43% in the last quarter, and 9.54% over the past year.

Similar to the surrounding areas, list prices for Bedford homes increased showing a median of $280,000, up 1.8% over the prior month, 6.04% for the quarter, and 7.71% over the prior year.

Despite the higher average list price, home sale prices have actually fallen slightly over the last year, driven by the number of distressed properties coming to the market. The median home sale price reported at year-end was $240,000, which is down 5.7% for the month and 2.83% for the year. 

This month has brought 38 new homes to market at a median list price of $250,000. 21 active listings went under contract at a median price of $275,000 and an average of 59 days on the market. 35 listings had to adjust prices with an average of 67 days on market. 41 homes sold for a median price of $185,000 after an average of 37 days on market.
