November 2017 Raleigh Real Estate Market Conditions

We are rounding out a busy 2017 and expectant for another great year in 2018! We are seeing a bit of a slow down in terms of showings and new listings around Wake County, but that is typical for this time of year. Folks are ready for some time off and ready to enjoy the holidays! New listings were down 3.9% in Wake County, compared to this month last year, however they have increased just a bit overall, compared to this time last year. The average sale price for Wake County is still increasing! Year to date, that number is $284,990 (up 8.6% overall) and for the month of November 2017 that sales price is $290,000. We still need more inventory! We are down 9.1% compared to 2016 in months supply of inventory, so it is still a great time to think about putting your house on the market. We expect to see a steady increase in both buyers and sellers as we enter in to 2018!
