The population of Cedar Park rose 35.5 percent from 2010 to 2015 eclipsing the 50,000 resident mark. Known as one of the fastest growing towns in the nation and one of the best homebuyer opportunities, Cedar Park continues to be in high demand due to the nearby health care facilities, quality schools and it’s location to 183A and other commute routes.
Home pricing is still attractive since the median house price remains lower than the Austin market. Since Cedar Park does not have the room to expand as nearby Leander does, look for home prices to increase more through 2017 because of the amount of inventory and the increasing buyer demand.
The good news is Cedar Park still has that hometown, everything’s nearby feeling. People are friendly and local businesses are thriving. Not to mention the number of good places to dine and drink within reach of just about every community.
New communities planned are West Park off Lakeline Boulevard and Whitestone Landing to the east on Parmer. Our advice to buyers considering to buy in Cedar Park is to buy now. Remember, Cedar Park is included in the top rated Leander ISD. Many homebuyers plan to stay, yes buying their destination homes, sooner.
