As one of the oldest towns in Union County, Waxhaw takes its name from the
Waxhaws, an Indian tribe that once inhabited the area. Our close proximity to
Charlotte allows us the much sought after balance of both small town charm and
big city convenience.
If you do a search of listings in Union County the city that shows up on the listing may not be the city that the home is in. How can that be you say, that is because most of Union County is made up of small Cities and Villages which do not have their own post office. Some examples might be that Marvin shows up as Waxhaw as does Weddington, some parts of Wesley Chapel may show as Monroe and Stallings might show up as Matthews. To know which city or if you are in an unincorporated area don't hesitate to give me a call and I will be able to determine it for you.
