Now is the best time to buy a home. Prices and interest rates are at their lowest in years           , and the selection is outstanding!  In Lutz we have 353 active listings as of this post (10/4/11) ranging from a $2,100,000 Mansion to a $44,900 bungalow. Median price is $229,000.  Home prices are stable.  Todays rates are 30 Year fixed loans at 4%, and 15 year is at 3.5%.

There are 21 foreclosures offered for sale, and 85 short sales. 247 homes are traditional sales with no mortgage challenges and are ready to close in 30 days!

In the month of September home prices are stable with 54 homes sold.  We have approximately7 months of inventory, making  this a slight buyer’s  market, still moving into a balanced market, and nearer to a seller’s market.   So you can see, now is the time to buy before the prices start to go up.
